31 things i’ve learned (so far)

I turned 31 this week.

And while I’m still figuring out most things (and always will be), I have picked up a few gems along the way. Some are deep, some are random, all are honest. Here are 31 things I’ve learned so far:

  1. A dirty chai can solve 87% of problems.

  2. Taking the day off on your birthday should be a law.

  3. Debt freedom is hot.

  4. You’re not behind — you’re on your own path.

  5. Your body deserves your effort, not your hate.

  6. Saying “I don’t want to talk about politics” is a full personality trait.

  7. Health isn’t just about weight.

  8. God’s timing > mine.

  9. Dogs are family, not pets.

  10. Sleep is a flex.

  11. Healing takes longer than you want, but it’s worth it.

  12. Being strong > being skinny.

  13. Walks fix your mood. Walks in the sun or on the beach can fix your whole day.

  14. Faith doesn’t make life easier, just more meaningful.

  15. You’re allowed to want more and be grateful at the same time.

  16. A great partner is everything.

  17. You can start over as many times as you need to — but don’t use it as a cop out.

  18. Success is quieter (and harder) than it looks on Instagram.

  19. Buying yourself flowers is never cringe.

  20. Your gut knows. Listen to it.

  21. The Office is always a good idea.

  22. Boundaries are not rude, they’re necessary.

  23. Rest is productive.

  24. The things you do daily matter more than what you post.

  25. You can love your life and still want to change it.

  26. Hustle isn’t the only way, but sacrifice is required.

  27. Some people will never get it—don’t waste your breath.

  28. Invest in skincare, good jeans, and your health.

  29. Being “too much” is a gift.

  30. Every season has purpose, even the messy ones.

  31. Life is short—wear the outfit, book the trip, eat the cookie.

If any of those hit, good.

If none of those did, I’m still glad you’re here.

I’m learning out loud, tripping upward, and doing my best to not waste this one life I’ve been given. Cheers to the next year of becoming and maybe finally stretching after workouts.
